Greenlight Rides is seeking dedicated and compassionate Mobility Assistance Vehicle Operator (MAVO), or wheelchair van driver to join our team. As a driver, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the journeys of individuals with disabilities, ensuring they reach their destinations safely and comfortably. Our drivers provide transportation for non-emergency medical visits, social outings, family visits, shopping excursions, and special events, among other services.

As a MAVO, or wheelchair van driver, you will play a key role in the safe transport of our patients in non-emergency situation and assist patients in/out of the vehicle, utilizing the wheelchair lift as needed. A valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record is required. No experience necessary, Care Plus Medical Services offers MAVO training on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Pickup riders from their homes in various towns in Essex County, NJ, and transport them to non-emergency destinations such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, and family visits

• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring the comfort and well-being of passenger throughout the journey

• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring safe and smooth transportation experiences

• Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues promptly

• Uphold the reputation of Greenlight Rides through outstanding service, professionalism, and reliability

• Keep accurate records of trips and mileage as required

• Collaborate with dispatch and support staff to optimize routes and schedules efficiently

Requirements:

• Valid Class D driver’s license

• Clean driving record with no accidents or moving violations in the last 5 years

• Minimum of 4 years of full driving experience

• High school education or equivalent, Veteran's Preferred

• Excellent customer service skills and a pleasant personality

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility
